About Liafin

Liafin was founded by Naas van den Berg who started his own accounting firm in 1993. He traded under his own name and later under Van den Berg Accountants. In 2003, Coenraad de Beer started working as a trainee accountant at Van den Berg Accountants and over the years the firm expanded in size, creating room for additional employees from February 2008.

In February 2014, we became a SAIPA ATC (Accredited Training Centre) allowing Coenraad to officially complete his professional training and become a Professional Accountant. The firm also offers the opportunity to other young accountants to obtain the necessary training and experience needed to become a full member of SAIPA.

Coenraad became a partner in July 2017 and it was decided that the firm's name will change in the near future to Liafin. Liafin still strives to uphold the same principles, integrity and service delivery instilled by Naas and passed on to Coenraad over the years. Naas retired on 31 August 2017, leaving the firm in the capable hands of Coenraad.
